Meanwhile, both of these guys are polling awfully even at this stage of the race.

Taylor's 3% is the same as the poll's margin of error!

Thanks to Anchorage Reddit for pointing out how the Anchorage snowplow map includes the names of equipment:

Fair! Though I’d argue this line at least gets close

Alaska campaign finance regulators granted former AG Treg Taylor (who's running for gov) an exemption for HOW his financial disclosures can be filed, but punted on whether he can hide the identities of his 200+ renters from public scrutiny.

Main reason: He didn't ask for it in writing.

During the public comment, former GOP chair Randy Ruedruch says that the world is much more dangerous today after Charlie Kirk was "basically executed."

(Treg Taylor is trying to keep his disclosures confidential)
September 10, 2025 at 8:57 PM
McCabe: "The process is failing."
September 10, 2025 at 8:02 PM
And then I think there was a bit of an exchange of words between Alexander and McCabe, which got a "take it outside."
September 10, 2025 at 7:55 PM
"Reconciling that dispute took time," McCabe concedes, but adds, "The public was not harmed by this delay."
September 10, 2025 at 7:46 PM
I've been a little distracted since the Kirk shooting broke, but Rep. McCabe is now up to address the complaints against him.

As best as I could hear through the fuzz, it was about whether he was properly reporting campaign activity.

Jodi Taylor says that people in their orbit are being "reached out by the media and political actors."

She's just trying to protect them, she claims.

Frankly, it sounds like the sort of legwork ANYONE would be doing for a major political candidate.
September 10, 2025 at 5:57 PM
They're going over what is actually useful. How about just first names? Hebdon says that's not useful.

Jodi Taylor then suggests, "We'd just turn this in for APOC," but not the public.

Hebdon says the laws say it's not for APOC but for the public. That's the purpose of transparency laws!

Jodi Taylor, Treg's wife, who co-owns the property, says that they should be able to keep the renters private.

She claims that they've been "weaponized by media" and "trolls."

"Media and other politically minded people have been reaching out to our tenants."

Fridays.
August 23, 2025 at 1:01 AM
And here's the questions that Otter AI transcription software suggested for the hearing:

The board, unsurprisingly, did not consider any of them.
August 22, 2025 at 5:34 PM
Onto the anti-trans care... message

Heilala: "We come together with a common goal of love and responsibility for our minors. And I think we met the first challenge of cordiality."

He says it's not an "obligation" to punish doctors for providing this care, but an "option."
August 22, 2025 at 5:24 PM
Then Heilala pats himself on the back for bringing up something so brave. He starts to talk about some doctor in Philadelphia before he gets cut off, telling him to just move on.
August 22, 2025 at 5:21 PM
Matt Heilala now on his anti-abortion bullshit.

He says that people don't understand that the state laws (Alaska Constitution) are "extremely permissive."

He wants the Board to issue a statement that "late-term abortions" (not a real medical term) "does not embody the values of Alaskans."
August 22, 2025 at 5:20 PM
Another caller warns about higher suicide rates: "I'm deeply concerned that for political gain, you would interfere in something that should be left to the privacy and professionalism and expertise of medical providers, parents and their children. I'm deeply ashamed of Alaska right now."

Heilala: 🙄
August 22, 2025 at 5:03 PM
Smith, wrapping up: "Nobody should be launching a governor campaign based off of trans kids or my family."

Heilala, presumably: I'd like to get a second opinion.
August 22, 2025 at 4:59 PM
Another caller: "I'm very thankful that the provider ... Dr Helia, Helia is stepping down, because I think that it has definitely been a platform for him to use to push some right-wing conservative agenda."

(Looks like he's excited to be running for governor)
August 22, 2025 at 4:56 PM
The Alaska State Medical Board's hearing, where Dunleavy-appointed chair Matt Heilala (a podiatrist who is also running for governor) is pushing anti-trans and anti-abortion measures today.

They're taking public testimony right now, which has all been opposed.

Q: “Mr Putin, will you stop killing civilians?”

Putin:

And then they get into The Beast together.
