Last night at 1am on a foggy bike path in our neighbourhood. I absolutely love midnight strolls with little Iris, when the world is quiet and there's not a soul to be seen (well, maybe just one 😉).

I know grandfather clocks aren't popular anymore, but when Awesome Husband @jenje.bsky.social found this German ±125 years old beast (2.10m high!) at a thrift store a few years ago, we couldn't believe our luck!
It still works perfectly, and the low sound of the chime still gives me goosebumps. 🥰

Ik lees dit gedicht van Annie M.G. Schmidt met mijn volwassen ogen en hou het bijna niet droog met de gedachte aan hoe ons land, onze #wereld, wordt verkloot door die ‘boze mannen’ die enkel maar geven om hun eigen egoïstische #macht en #rijkdom.

Als ik dan toch ziek voor pampus moet liggen (terwijl ik zo graag van het winterse weer zou genieten met m'n hond in het bos 🥺), dan maar extra knus met kaarsjes aan.
Gelukkig heb ik kaarsen in bulk gekocht! 😅

I prefer the look of natural bone, but I've got a box full of craft grade / not optimally processed skulls that would benefit from a lick of paint. I love giving them a second life as wall art. 🖤
