Slava Ukraini 👍💪🤯☠️

Mark Rutte learnt that from Starmer. I'll never forget Starmer giving Trump an invitation to a State Visit from King Charles!🤮🤢

would have invaded Ukraine a year earlier than it did and would probably have succeeded in defeating Ukraine. For all his faults, Biden got in the way and Trump has never forgiven him. Now Europe+ has the strong benefit of hindsight and must act accordingly.
December 8, 2025 at 6:19 PM
Thank you TA for putting into words what many have feared for quite some time. All of this was clearly planned to happen at the beginning of the beginning of Trump's second term in 2021, hence the attempted overthrow on 6th January 2021 with the attack on the US Capitol. In all likelihood Russia
December 8, 2025 at 6:19 PM
Well Lindsey Graham needs to reverse that decision, but will he?
December 8, 2025 at 8:05 AM
Right now the existing US sanctions on Russian oil exports are having a desired effect on Russia's economy, but this needs to be strengthened. Trump is now likely to attempt to reduce these instead. Will Lindsey Graham's long shelved sanctions be allowed to take place or is he with Trump on this?
December 8, 2025 at 7:43 AM
Well, so much for the "Special Relationship"!! When Europe+ finally gets its act together and stops its reliance on the US, Trump will claim credit for forcing Europe+ into taking responsibility for its own defence. Unfortunately he is right on this one occasion and that's a hard fact to swallow.

I know the weather is crap, but you shouldn't be on here. I hope your mother in law is comfortable.
December 7, 2025 at 11:12 AM
Not forgetting the final Grand Prix of course!!🙄 Seriously take it easy, and I hope your mother in law recovers well, it must have been a shock for her and you and your wife. We'll run things in your absence!! What could possibly go wrong?
December 6, 2025 at 7:20 PM
I totally agree with you Anders. Added to that we must acknowledge that the defeat of Putin's Russia will mean the end of Russian cyber attacks, border infringements, refugees fleeing destabilised countries and so on. The list of Russian sponsored war crimes and terrorism is endless!!
December 6, 2025 at 11:08 AM
the floor.
However, time is not on Europe’s side as it has some catching up to do. So now we really do need to see the imminent collapse of the Russian economy to end this war and preferably while Trump is still the lame duck in the White House.

What other American supplied weaponry could the US control at will, should a particular country suddenly be considered an enemy? We just don’t know!
Europe has an opportunity to become a dominant player as a supplier of arms, particularly as Russia’s reputation for supplying arms is falling through
December 5, 2025 at 11:59 PM
Clearly this unreliable behaviour from the US will make them less dominant in the weapons supply chain going forward. Let’s not forget the very real possibility of F35’s having a “Trapdoor or Kill Switch” that could be used should a nation fall out of favour with a US administration going forward.
December 5, 2025 at 11:59 PM
Thank you TA for another thought provoking article. There are several positives that I take from this piece. The first is that Europe+ now has no alternative but to finally acknowledge that it can no longer assume that the US can be relied upon to support the defence of Europe.
December 5, 2025 at 11:59 PM
That just about sums it up!!
December 4, 2025 at 7:06 PM
We can however trust the Ukrainian people to really stand up to the tyranny of Putin's Russia, probably because they have no choice and never have.
December 4, 2025 at 3:50 PM
Why is the now Sir John Major not earning his knighthood and holding all Prime Ministers Blair, Brown, Cameron, May, Johnson, Truss, Sunak and Starmer to account for reneging on Ukraine?

In reality it has been a long time since we could trust any politicians in the US or indeed the UK.
December 4, 2025 at 3:50 PM
Who signed for these countries back then?

United States: President Bill Clinton
Russia: President Boris Yeltsin
United Kingdom: Prime Minister John Major
Ukraine: President Leonid Kuchma

Why is Clinton so silent and not holding Bush, Obama, Biden and Trump to account for reneging on Ukraine?
December 4, 2025 at 3:50 PM
Hindsight is a wonderful skill...

The Budapest Memorandum was signed by Ukraine, Russia, the United States, and the United Kingdom in December 1994 when Ukraine agreed to give up its nuclear weapons in exchange for security assurances regarding its independence, sovereignty, and existing borders.
December 4, 2025 at 3:50 PM
I totally agree, and the video goes into great detail explaining why. The biggest problem is there appears to be no mechanism in the US Constitution to recognise and deal with the issues that this presents. America and the rest of the world are stuck with Trump until he pegs it or something similar.

Following up on some of the comments here. I now believe that Trump can be safely ignored or sidelined. This is an interesting interview with a psychologist about the visibly deteriorating mental state of Trump...

included NATO membership, but Ukraine was shafted by Russia with the help of the USA and the UK. Hindsight is a wonderful skill!!
December 3, 2025 at 8:03 PM
It would needed to be a NATO operation and that would have never been agreed by either of the Trump or Biden administrations. NATO membership was a very useful thing to have, but Putin's invasion of Ukraine has shown that is not now the case. The Budapest Memorandum of 1994 should have

I'm tempted to say it doesn't matter as Trump's America is currently bringing nothing but confusion and interference to the war with Putin's Russia. On the other hand Macron, Starmer, Merz, etc. continue playing to Trump's ego possibly allowing him to be our useful idiot.
December 3, 2025 at 4:48 PM
and Trump has no answers and hasn't a clue, he never has. Trump is probably right about there not being a war in Ukraine had he been President in 2020. Then Putin would have invaded Ukraine with Trump's backing, but things didn't work out the way Putin planned it.
