I’ve been saying this a lot but I feel like it needs repeating. Creators and studios need to embrace new media. With cord cutting, the new generation is all iPad kids who are purely on YT, Discord, twitch, etc. They’re not watching movies/tv and are gaining moral value from streamers. Hence, Tr*mp

The box office reaction to interstellar is proof that the people want original, high quality productions again. Something that needs a theater. A decade old movie is out performing all of the new stuff in a limited theater release.

The Penguin gets much better towards the end, but I was a bit bored throughout. The story needed to be a bit more engaging. The acting is great but the characters themselves aren’t dynamic enough for me

Yikes, but I kinda agree here. Only because the smarter option is just to create a new iconic female bond-like character rather than trying to change the existing one.

But when you challenge people who have these narrow worldviews to step outside themselves and have a new experience, some get defensive and stupid just to make an incoherent point
‘Hollywood is just content now!’ Well then watch non-English-language stuff. Watch independent films. Watch stuff made for $10m max. Watch shorts. Watch guerrilla documentaries. Watch experimental filmmaking. Watch kooky animations. It’s still film if it wasn’t made in California for $100m.

The problem Marvel is facing is that their content is not evolving with the fans. our frontal lobes are developed now and marvel needs to mature a bit. Like when they wanted to reboot Lizzie McGuire for its now adult audience but wanted it to still be for children. Know your audience!!!
