Jesus, I can tell I'm back in the US, 3.99 for the cheapest drink I can find at the airport. Oh yeah and there's tax on top of that... I miss Japan and when the most expensive water/sports drink/soda I found there was ¥230($1.61) and the was no additional tax

My daily commute is a couple of bus rides to downtown, we're in stop and go traffic and my normal bus driver just cut across 5 lanes from the carpool to the offramp. I'm glad I'm not driving but that's just poor planning.

I'm not a parent, never will be even though I keep trying with my husband. From an outsider's perspective I just witnessed exceptional parenting when dealing with a tantrum. This mother had a firm but logical talk with her unruly son (5 or 6yo) and convinced him to stfu.
