The depth of the shame of a country this wealthy and abundant allowing its people to go hungry is impossible to measure. The fact that a handful of people could fix this by paying their fair share of taxes while still remaining obscenely wealthy makes it even worse.

Chatbots — LLMs — do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When they’re “right” it’s because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. That’s all.

I just set up a $15 monthly donation to my local food bank. According to them, that will be 75 meals a month for people in my community that need it. If you can afford it, do it. Any amount is going to help countless families that may otherwise not be able to eat Nov 1st.

Second student of the year threw up in my classroom today. Neither made it to a trash can in any way. I thought I avoided this by teaching high school.

As many other people are saying: you simply cannot attain a superintendents license if you are in this country illegally or cant pass a background check. I dont believe anything they're saying and I'm scared my students could be next. I feel ill.
