I just finished reading The Switch by Sandra Brown. This book has done immense psychic and spiritual damage to me, in a way rarely replicated in books where inflicting psychic and spiritual damage is the actual goal.
This damage is just incidental, which makes it even more deeply wounding.

I don't know how to exorcise that Demon but I do have a buddy in medschool.
We can for-sure stop your heart for a bit and I'm pretty sure the Demon will slide right off.

When they said opposition schools, I thought they meant like, Rival academies.
But apparently because I like Necromancy I cant cast Conjuration now???

Most 1st teir spells could be cantrips, but the arcanacrats deliberately complicate and obscure them to inflate prices

Im really loving this one the first time read of Homestuck, but the trolls bickering is giving me a headache.
DIalog up until now has been pretty endearing, but having every conversation soaked in irony, and through a haze of L33t 5p33k is a lot when im not invested in these characters yet.
