Our Excursions have similar goals. For ex, students learn about the quilters of Gee's Bend in g1-2 and Harriet Powers & Faith Ringgold in g4-5 as they study geometry. In a g5 excursion they learn about Matthew Henson & the search for the North Pole as they graph temps. www.terc.edu/mathequityfo...
