It’s a reasonable assumption but there’s the thing - he already demonstrated that he doesn’t have a very good idea what departments do, specifically DOE. If we assume that “nuclear weapons” means delivery platforms and not devices we must on the other hand consider this as well

You rarely see Harriers flying. The last vestiges of the Cold War. That's actually why I went there. An amazing aircraft and the spirit of British engineering at its best

No

The protection of innocent lives depends on our ability to raise the costs of invasion in the eyes of the invader so that they far outweigh the benefits and deter them from doing so.

Yes, by slowing down the advance and restricting freedom of movement, for example.

Via mines.

Re Oreshnik/unknown missile rumour - only target (test range) that would fit the (rough) description of the trajectory (south-west) is (afaik) IP-8, object 500 (Norilsk test range), but it would be *VERY* unusual.

We should not be inviting Russian researchers living in Russia, linked to Russian intelligence services, to our conferences to lecture us on arms control, strategic stability and Western-Russia relations.

It’s a big thing I never thought it would happen. And frankly I have always been against it (I still am), the potential risks are enormous. In any case, this will have a huge impact (especially in terms of (A)EW and air defence).

Yeah, it was indeed built by American citizens, by naturalised American citizen(s). Vance and Co would have wanted to deport him.

Another interesting payload carried on the external pylons. Considering the diameter, these are clearly missiles. Could be a PL-17 as it doesn't fit into IWBs (didn't do digital measurements tho)

Absolutely honestly - objectively, the brain drain to the US and "stealing" of intelligentsia were one of the things the US and its national security nothing but benefited from. What the administration is doing is objectively incomprehensible and goes against the US interests.

This guy says hello.

It should be noted that the AA-9B also has the capability and we could see it during the NSNWs exercise.

It's presumably an AA-13 -an armament of MiG-31,CONOPS is an offensive nuclear strike op, an escort (Foxhounds C) of bombers armed w AA-13As "punch their way through” for the bombers, the AA-13As are corrected mid-course,the Blackjacks then release their arms and the group leaves the strike area

First of all I was completely apolitical, regardless of what I think about Trump and 99% of his policies (not a good thing) this is a bipartisan issue, you sure know the 2023 Final Report of the Congressional Commission on the Strategic Posture,so please avoid language like “fluffing Trump's policies”

…it is not for nothing that Russia have installed such a huge amount of air defences in K'grad and Primorsk. The relatively shallow depth over huge areas also greatly increases the effectiveness of contact and contactless bottom mines.

NATO lake is a joke, but not a baseless joke.

Conservative numbers, although I must say the figures on IR surprised me.It shows one thing and that is that not only the Golden Done is a necessity, but the expansion must happen. In 2035 the US will face a 2 nuclear peers w quasi-alliance relationship between them (and their own defence programmes)
