If a kid found out kids just like them are dying of starvation somewhere & their response is ‘ok it’s sad but here’s why’ - and your immediate thought isn’t ‘this mfs gonna be a sociopath’ - but instead ‘oh wow this kid’s informed & mature for their age’ maybe we’re not doing ok
