Governor Maura Healey

73rd Governor. Joanna's other half. Stepmom, aunt, sister, baller. Always playing for Team Massachusetts 🏀
State Representative Ann-Margaret Ferrante was one of the most selfless people I know. There was no one more loyal to her friends, family and constituents she served.

I will miss her humor, guidance, passion and, most of all, friendship. My heart goes out to all who loved her.

Happy Thanksgiving, Massachusetts! 🦃

Nobody takes care of each other like the people of Massachusetts.

The shutdown is over, but the Trump Administration is delaying heating assistance another week — in late November.

Families need heat now. The President should release the funds immediately.

This week at the State House, we honored leaders who make Massachusetts stronger — and celebrated their stories through the Living Histories of Color exhibition.

That now includes Michael Bobbitt, who’s led @masscultural.bsky.social for the past four years with vision and heart.

By the end of the year, a new transmission line will be ready to carry 1,200 megawatts of hydropower from Canada to New England.

That's affordable, stable power to cover 20% of Massachusetts electricity needs — and save families and businesses $50 million each year.

The first public school. The first university. Massachusetts has always led on education.

And now, the data is clear: degrees from Massachusetts public colleges and universities pay off.

The Springfield Food Policy Council and Gardening the Community are feeding families in Western Massachusetts — and doing it with healthy, affordable, locally-grown food.

Grateful to Executive Director Liz O’Gilvie, the entire team, and Ben from Clarkdale Farms.

Less than 24 hours after the shutdown ended, every dollar in SNAP benefits owed to Massachusetts families was loaded onto their EBT cards.

That only happened because of the incredible, around-the-clock work of the DTA team. In Massachusetts, we take care of each other.
November 18, 2025 at 12:39 AM
When Republicans in Washington walked away from hungry families, Massachusetts stepped up.

The team at @foodbankwma.bsky.social worked nonstop to feed families who didn’t get their SNAP benefits on time. The shutdown might be over, but their work isn’t done — and neither is ours.

College students should be focused on classes and careers — not where their next meal is coming from.

President Trump's cuts to SNAP are making it harder for young people to get by. That’s why we’re investing nearly $500,000 in fighting hunger on campus.

Huge thanks to @projectbread.org for stepping up to help families impacted by President Trump's SNAP benefits freeze.

Our team worked quickly to get benefits back on EBT cards — so if you’ve got funds, go get those groceries.

And if you still need help, ask. You are not alone.
November 13, 2025 at 10:26 PM
The team at @projectbread.org has seen an unprecedented surge in calls since President Trump cut off SNAP benefits.

Thank you to every staff member and volunteer stepping up to help our neighbors feed their families.
November 13, 2025 at 8:49 PM
If you have money on your EBT card, go buy groceries for your family.

Forget the noise coming out of Washington. We have your back.

In Massachusetts, nearly 1 in 4 adults is a family caregiver. It’s stressful, time-consuming work — and most do it on top of a full-time job.

It's Family Caregiver Month, and we're celebrating by giving caregivers the support they need to focus on family, not finances.

For 250 years, people from Massachusetts have answered the call — from the militias that fought for freedom to the veterans who’ve defended it ever since.

We’re proud to be the birthplace of America and our military traditions. Our veterans will keep our nation strong for generations to come.
November 11, 2025 at 11:33 PM
Health care premiums could skyrocket by $25,000 if President Trump and Republicans don’t act. No one can afford that.

I’m going to fight like hell to make sure Massachusetts families can keep the coverage they need and the doctors they trust.
November 11, 2025 at 10:14 PM
Massachusetts veterans have defended our freedom and democracy. We owe them everything.

That’s why I signed the HERO Act — the most pro-veteran legislation in America — and why we’re committed to ending veteran homelessness once and for all. Happy Veterans Day!
November 11, 2025 at 7:50 PM
On Veterans Day and always, we honor the brave men and women who served our country and defended our freedoms.

Thank you for your courage and sacrifice 🇺🇸
November 11, 2025 at 2:36 PM
If President Trump and Republicans don't act, more than 300K people in Massachusetts will see premiums skyrocket by as much as $25K.

They're gutting the ACA's ability to keep care affordable — and families and small businesses will pay the price.
November 10, 2025 at 10:42 PM
Because of the GOP shutdown, 42 million Americans have their SNAP benefits cut.

Millions more won’t get heating help. Families lost child care.

Health premiums will soar. Tariffs are spiking prices.

The President may not want to hear it, but people are feeling it everyday.

From the Berkshires to the Cape and everywhere in between, there are people in need — and people ready to help.

The @gr8bosfoodbank.bsky.social's Chain of Giving is the unofficial start of the holiday season — when volunteers come together to unload hundred's of frozen turkeys for Thanksgiving tables across Massachusetts.

This year, it means even more, because the need is greater than ever.

Massachusetts isn’t just the best place to grow up — we’re making it the best place to grow old, too.

Thanks to Fallon Health and MassHealth’s PACE model, older adults in Southeastern Mass will get the care they need while aging in place with dignity and peace of mind.

Mayor Hynes led Boston with vision, courage, and collaboration — qualities shaped by his service in both World Wars.

As we approach Veterans Day, it’s fitting that his name stands alongside fellow heroes at John B. Hynes Veterans Memorial Center.
