New from me: Florida has failed to show legal agreements giving the state authority to detain immigrants in Alligator Alcatraz, despite two federal judges ordering them to produce them. The place is basically operating as an extrajudicial black site. It’s illegal.

Years ago, I started (but never finished) a project on police corruption. One thing I discovered in the research is that a college education is a solid (tho imperfect) preventive measure.
There are a lot of other factors, but I would bet that ICE is almost certainly implementing worst practices.
