Can't believe Amazon is cancelling Wheel of Time. And they are continuing the joyless piece of shit Ring of Power that costs even more money. Trying to cancel Amazon Prime. Please don't watch these idiotic live action remakes like Avatar, How to Tame your Dragon, and the Disney cluster fucks.

Catching up with a nurse friend and she told me about a young, healthy patient with a congenital condition that had caused his liver to fail. A perfect match for a liver was found and he was scheduled to recieve it. Then the insurance company denied paying for it and he died. Are we great yet?

I've really enjoyed the Wheel of Time TV show, especially since they have removed so much of the misogyny of the books. In the books, the main character has three sister wives. It's hilarious to me how triggered straight men get when I speculate if they will remove the harem aspect from the show.

We bought our swim spa from Decks and Spas more than a decade ago and have done all our service through them. They were telling Kit about starting their own line of spas based on what they have learned. They started production.. in China. Now they won't be able to. The little people always suffer.

I was reading about Trump's suggestion to build iPhone's here in America. The plant that makes them in China pays their workers $3/hr. Oddly enough, Tim Cook made the statement that China isn't cheap labor anymore. Compared to more third world places, he's probably right but cheaper than the USA.

I’m getting pretty old and have seen a lot of bad politics. I’ve never seen anything as insane as the last three months. I’m really not sure if we can recover from this.
Still wish I had more friends on Bluesky but going through who my friends follow has been really useful finding very interesting things to make Bluesky a lot more compelling.

Two months ago, Meta announced that many unforgivable changes. I spent quite a few nights lying awake fuming at the full embrace of Trump and project 2025 by Zuckerberg and the blatant shift to racism, sexism, and homophobia. My blood pressure was at 155/90 and today it is 125/82. Fuck Zuck :)

One of the things that I like the most about having a dog is just the zest for life that they have. Same boring dog food in their bowl? They still act like getting fed is the best thing ever. Lease comes out? Always excited for a walk. Just got home? Always a wagging tail and smiling face.

We ended up watching Witcher Sirens of the Deep and I enjoyed it. Not perfect but light years better than both of the live action seasons We have a little group working our way through Season 3 of Invincible and Skeleton Crew. Any other series or interesting one offs that people can recommend?
