So during a government shutdown we can bail out Argentina for $20 billion dollars. That's a fifth of the 2024 budget for Snap, which they say is out of money. Why not spend that $20 billion here?

Maybe it's not the location that's dangerous but the access to guns that cause firearm deaths all the time. Just some rough back of the napkin math here: this would be like if 4,000 people died in one day from gunshot wounds in my city, Chicago, which doesn't happen.

I understand that there are differences in methodology and types of jobs counted, but I'm having a hard time understanding how the ADP numbers and the BLS numbers could be so wildly different. Did that many public and government jobs get added to counter the estimated loss of private jobs?

I understand why these stories exist but it’s important to be clear that he’s not “saving” 16 billion, he’s choosing, personally, without oversight, to wipe out 16 billion dollars of government services to veterans and the disabled and food safety etc etc
