Trump is attacking the U.S.’s closest ally and trade partner, Canada, with illegal tariffs that are badly hurting Canadian businesses & U.S. citizens alike. Canada has been respectful & diplomatic (which Trump doesn’t deserve) but his attacks have only gotten worse.

Fully agree. Bragg is such an inspiration for any of us doing radio to make sure you never talk down to your audience but to treat them as people just as fascinated by facts, arguments, stories, and data as you are.
Melvyn Bragg has been one of the last standard-bearers for a really important, and unfashionable, idea: that good conversation, between people who really know their stuff, on complex or difficult subjects, can be fantastic radio - and that the national broadcaster should do this.
I hope it endures.

It's simple, if you throw paint on a plane then you get proscribed and any 80 year olds defending you get arrested.

B) More independent schools opened than shut, so the overall number went up.
