Wonderful visit to the Universidad de Concepción for the Neuropsiquiátricas y Adicciones Congreso. Exciting neuroscience in Chile & Argentina. Privileged to see research informed by and tools from NIH funded research which has worldwide impact. & felt like home with the Pacific Ocean I grew up in.

Thur- Excited about a student's talk on their journey from Peru with limited neuroscience to a PhD program here. Fri- Excited I added this to my talk at UMD and inspired by trainees plans for science advocacy. Today- excited to ✈️ to Chile to meet with scientists and trainees there.

Devastated for my home city and those that have lost homes and loved ones. Grateful my family and friends are safe. Hoping all my LA/UCLA friends and colleagues are all safe.
