here she is reciting the alphabet with me (with some help from my dad). I am slightly better at the alphabet now and my diaper is a little less bulky. I would have been a few months shy of 2 years old here. Please note the martini glass

she let us skip school when the Star Wars movies were rereleased (late 90’s) and the prequels came out, and piled us all in her minivan and took us to the Uptown in DC (now sadly closed) for the midnight premieres—I continued that tradition with the new movies

my mom was number 7 of 13 kids. she loved to read. she took me to my first musical and then to countless musicals after that. she did improv at the DC improv and actually destroyed. she was a fearless broad. she used to sing Irving Berlin songs to us as lullabies.
