After @stopcambo.bsky.social won their court case in January, Equinor needs to re do their Environmental Impact Assessment for consideration by UK Govt.

A flying pig is more likely than an EIA compatible with climate goals.

With some of my North Sea Knitter pals in Aberdeen, furiously knitting to try to "cast off" Trump. Outrage that the UK taxpayer is picking up the policing and security bill for this felon to make a private visit, whilst apparently Trump contributes no tax on profits from his golf clubs.

1/ Yesterday the North Sea Knitters visited SSE offices in Perth. On the day they announced huge annual profits, they also announced that they were cutting their investments in renewables by £3bn. 300 jobs will go in renewables in the process.

1) My fellow North Sea Knitters Pedalled the Pipeline last week to raise awareness of the proposed use of a pipeline, formerly used for natural gas to transport CO2 as part of the Acorn CCS project. We thought people who live close by should know about potential risks.

Yesterday the North Sea Knitters paid a wee visit to Holyrood, where we asked our MSPs to sign a pledge to #StopRosebank The UK Govt have renewed their commitment not to approve new O+G licenses and we hope that this means the end of Rosebank. Time for Scot Govt to get off the fence and support us.

Not very posh looking, but this was our solution to replacing a gas job on top of a range.

Whilst the decision will rest with the UK Govt, we really need the Scot Govt to stop giving them cover.

1/Out last night at SSE's Glasgow Office, protesting the anticipated rise in the Energy Price Cap which rose by 6.4%. Whilst energy companies profit's soar, so do our bills.

North Sea Knitters visited @sseplc offices in Perth yesterday to chat about their flawed EIA for the planned gas-fired power station in Peterhead. The EIA does not consider emissions from extraction and transport of gas, nor for outages. It also makes a claim of 90% for carbon capture rates.1/3
