I used to do lots of things, now I mostly attempt to keep small boys in one piece and get bossed around by a tiny cat.
Taf: So did yours. I don't see you piddling in the garden, lady.

I complained about the two textures thing at my last haircut and my hairdresser cheerfully told me "It'll be fine, all the your grey is curly so you know where it'll settle out!"

If he hadn't been cutting my hair for the last 15 years he'd be a dead man.

Where the damp proof course isn't.

(Plumber has just been to install a new tap and incidentally completely rebuild the sink/dishwasher/washing machine plumbing, someday I will give him a simple job that is actually simple)

My 80-something aunts, with a good splash of brandy in them already, were delighted.

My mother, trying to de-glitter the sofa on New Year's Day, somewhat less so.

Give Marks and Spencer five minutes, my mother is still not over the glittery potato crisps.

Giant bows have been an inexplicable feature of Graduation the last couple of years (we don't have caps) and I...you want to commemorate your highest educational achievement wearing a JoJo Bow? You're grown ups!

The dragon one particularly you could do as an art piece but you would have trouble standing up...

Oh FFS we DID this already. I know there are people in Whitehall who were there if not when the Diplock courts were in action were definitely there in the fall-out afterward!

Fairly sure the paramedic and doctor's associations on three continents would have said something about letting their pitch medics do it by now if it was a regular issue...

My husband mocks my giant bag of stuff, but he was not the one ready to hand out emergency biscuits when we got stuck in the Westlink closure havoc yesterday evening on the way home from creche.

Cat came in to complain vociferously about the solid rain at 3am, 4am, and 5.30am.

By which time the 4YO was also up, so at least they could entertain each other instead of standing on my face.

It is not nice out there.

Doing the hedges with my dad's friend: "Leave that hawthorn alone, I don't believe in them, but doesn't mean they don't believe in me"
