Kemi bad-enoch named Terry Pratchett as her favourite author but the philosophy in his stories are the exact opposite of what she espouses. How can she have this cognitive dissonance #kemibadenoch #wtf

🔉What dangers does X pose to our democracy? And should the government stop using it?

Good to hear yesterday from @sundersays.bsky.social and @petergeoghegan.bsky.social on the immense risk of X as it ignores legal obligations and its owner tries to influence UK politics.

This behaviour from flag humpers going by the name Worcester Patriots is disgusting. Intimidating local residents by taking photos of them and calling them traitors.

We're getting more children into classrooms, and more teachers in front of them.

✔️ Absence decreasing across all school types
✔️ Persistent absence decreasing across all regions
✔️ Gaps between regions narrowing

That's down to the hard work of schools, families and Labour.

That's just it. You don't. You are THE public broadcaster. No other body shares your mission. Why add to the noise?

The BBC has an opportunity to say "you've heard all the breathless gossip - tune in at 6pm for the facts". To bring light rather than heat.

Wow. Newsnight was incredible this evening. Victoria Derbyshire is just on another level. From the Epstein files to discussing end of life care with Sir Michael Palin who was talking about his beloved wife who died in hospice care, she was compassionate, intelligent & kind. Just brilliant.

“The political strategy, at its core - get into power and instead of looking after your base, devote the first year to p***ing off your base, in favour of voters who will probably never come to you - is so poor and predictably disastrous that I don’t understand how McSweeney is still in Downing St.”

Two of the mis-steps people say Labour took are the changes to WFP and PIP. Before the policy was implemented the Government changed tack. Nobody lost a penny but many have benefited from the raise in minumum wage, free breakfast clubs and free additional childcare hours. Let's talk about that eh.
