Turning off categories too is the real biggie for me. I get like 5 emails a week that isn't part of a newsletter or some sort of update. So they'd get filtered. Right now my phone is popping a notification every 5 minutes.

Clearly designed to disincentivize people in a disgustingly aggressive way. It's incentivized me to look into moving my personal mail to another service.
