I wish I didn’t have to share this. But the BBC has decided to censor my first Reith Lecture.

They deleted the line in which I describe Donald Trump as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” /1

It’s no accident the ladder climbers & fake smart careerist class occupying our government, mass media, boardrooms etc aren’t capable of understanding/responding to what Hansen is theorizing here.

A proper response would change the world within weeks. And that is the last thing big capital wants.

Another month of NASA CERES satellite data and it's only getting worse!

0.11 W/m² added to the 4-year average Net-flux increase over the North Pacific.

Absorbed Solar Radiation is almost 5W/m² higher than at the start of the century.

All added greenhouse gases since 1750 cause a 4.1 W/m² forcing

Many people think about cold in Northern Europe if the Atlantic Ocean current system #AMOC fails. But that wouldn’t be the only problem for Europe by far.
This new study shows that severe drought is another one. 🌊
📢 New paper on the impacts of AMOC collapse on European hydroclimate. 🌊

We find an AMOC collapse would exacerbate drought conditions across Europe, linked to reduced precipitation. In combination with climate change droughts are expected to become more frequent and severe.

Changing European hydroclimate under a collapsed AMOC in the Community Earth System Model
Abstract. The Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC) is expected to weaken or even collapse under anthropogenic climate change. Given the importance of the AMOC in the present-day climate,...

The latest, from November 18, has the planet at 1.61°C above pre-industrial.

Will the planet reach an anomaly of 1.80°C above pre-industrial over the coming few days, as forecast? The Climate 8-ball is busy eating gobsmacking bananas.

Great news for ocean altimetry observations! 🌍🛰

Global sea level rise is also a crucial indicator of Earth's Energy Imbalance.

It takes about 50 times as much heat to increase sea levels by thermal expension of the oceans than it does from melting ice.

Satellites paint a very worrying picture!

This graphic shows the difference from the 1981-2010 baseline. Add about 0.60°C to get the anomaly above the 1850-1900 IPCC pre-industrial baseline.

In other words, an anomaly over pre-industrial above 1.80°C is likely in the next few days.
