Feels like it was meant as megadungeon but was scrapped at some point, yet all mechanics that could have been spread across 2 wings are now crammed into 1.

To be clear, I learned what to do, but there's always somebody fucking up, which typically means wipe or setback for all on anything over +9.

Worst M+ pug experience ever for me. There's just too much going on all the time. Saws are poorly visible, the tree boss drops blue waves over blue surface, one mistake on the duo boss pretty much dooms entire group. Too much trash to clear...

I like the non-linear style of it, but that's about it.

BfA tried to do way too much at the same time and it lead to us going to Shadowlands almost out of nowhere. The BfA-Shadowlands era writing struggled with being very unfocused. Smaller stories from that era worked "okay" in isolation, but didn't complement each other at all.

This thread seems rather interesting though, will check it once the game is reinstalled later. Seems like going to US forums instead of EU ones is the way to go about it.

Access Violation
I think I have found the culprit in my case. Discord updated its overlay to a more modern version. Ran wow without the overlay for 4 hours, no crashes. Enabled overlay and the game crashed after 10 m...

And no, my RAM is not the issue. Everything else runs just fine. Even games that are waaaaay more intensive.

Tried repair, disable XMP profile, remove addons, compatibility modes, you name it... gonna try full fat reinstall of the entire Bnet and WoW later during the weekend, but damn this is a really weird one.

And going by the forums, I'm not the only one. @worldofwarcraft.blizzard.com do better.

MMO players are also older now and while I get the appeal of calling for more old school approach...

I'm not interested in playing a new game where I spend hours just traveling through the world.

MMOs changed, but they changed in a way that reflects reality of their audience.

Hot take over. 😄

Obviously just my perspective, but for me an MMO is like the always running show. The permanent game that's just always there.

I can quit it for years and do something else, but when I feel like coming back, it's still there. It's part of the appeal.

I don't get that "security" with brand new MMO.

Good MMOs are designed for longevity and most MMO players simply aren't jumping to new MMO whenever a new one comes out.

Point being: In reality, they just want new game with optional shared world or coop. Not an actual MMO.

This is why genre is still dominated by games that are over decade old.
