I bought a couple books. Dark Tower 1&2. Candide by Voltaire. Ambergris trilogy. And Kafka stories with and intro by Borges (Borges short story book has an intro by Edgar Poe. What a wonderful trio). All secondhand.

Ice Cream Man. What a fucking comic. They’re discussing what horror is, and that we live in a horrific world. It’s breaking the fourth wall again and it’s just good at doing it.

This is a fantastic page by E.M. Carroll. A low sense of dread building in the background of everything.

We need a Voltaire in today’s society.

These quotes apply more than ever.

John Locke had some great ideas. Government should protect human rights, and if it doesn’t, there is a right of revolution.

Bought my professor’s novel and it actually seems pretty cool. About a cartoonist—compared to Kavalier and Klay and Peanuts.
