It's me
One of the problems down narrow side streets like Addison Cres, Swinburne Road, etc is that they're not wide enough for two vehicles to park on the road opposite each other and with most houses not having off-street parking and/or having more than one vehicle per household there are no other options

All incredible albums though. Possible exception is the Great R&R Swindle as I think the Pistols had jumped the shark by then

I mean, I love the Ramones, but with the best will in the world I wouldn't put that album above the Clash, the Ruts, the Slits or even Stiff Little Fingers or Joy Division

That's cool. In the article itself it reads 'a vinyl record', which is fine. It's just that stupid sub-heading which was probably done by some intern fresh out of journalism school, where they don't actually teach people how to write anymore

Yes, but never buying 'a vinyl'

They may have said a lot, but until it's determined later this month no one knows what the policy will be. I'm sceptical that they will be particularly pro-Ukraine, that they will have as strong environmental policies as the Green Party, that their response to animal rights will also be the same...

Bloody hell, I must be even older than I thought

Whatever's happened to the apostrophe in Hallowe'en? Is it now standard use to write Halloween or are writers (and editors) just being lazy?

So, just Andrew then

Socialism/Environmentalism....

As I was told by mother, you can't have one without the other

I was prevaricating between the Greens and the new Corbyn party. Eventually decided to go Green because I feel Polanski's vision aligns more with mine. Hopefully the two parties can come to some sort of agreement when it comes to election time to give the left a more powerful and united voice

He probably won't notice, tbf

Sorry, it looks like the link was for tickets. Didn't realise it described the bands as well. Will do better next time!

Magdalen Road was chaos this lunchtime, with pavement parking, vans trying to squeeze past while cars going the other way drove along the pavement to let them through, heedless of pedestrians, plus cars sticking out of driveways blocking the pavement (outside Dave Seamer's)

It might be useful if you could provide a brief description of the various bands you post about, to give us some idea what to expect 🙂

(If you can be arsed, that is)

Are they finally going to put a roof on it?

The system isn't broken. It's working exactly as it was designed to.

So many good bands bubbling under that don't even merit a mention in that article. It's a great time to be a gig goer in Oxford

How about, stick with the current format of one long read per week, but then do a supplementary shorter one on, say, a Tuesday to cover stuff you couldn't fit in the longer one?

That way you have the worst of both worlds and everyone's a winner (except for you, of course)

This country is ridiculously crappy, full stop

Great match report!!! and 100% do come along!!! the football is good , some 'worldies' in the 10 today.

We are building the OUWFC atmosphere, more noise and flags. You can get a beer, plenty of activities, familiar faces.

What is not to like? #oufc
