construction progress on sixth&blanco (previously named clarksvillage)

can't we get more interesting building names than a development's cross streets? 🥱

wow, the big tree that used to lean over the shoal creek trail just north of the 9th st bridge at duncan park is a goner - guess it was dying or something

on the bright side, you can bike on this part of the trail now without needing to slow down or duck your head

This one's for the peds! Austin Transportation & Public Works is turning the old section of Red River alongside Waterloo Park into a new public plaza made for people, not cars 👌

Submit your feedback for the visioning phase before 12/1 to influence the plaza design: speakupaustin.org/PikePowersPlaza

this structure (near scholz garten) most recently used as a megabus station has lots of restaurant or bar potential IMO

love this building but it's insane that it was converted into a private office... would have been a stunning seaholm food hall

super cool historic home nestled on a cliffside in west campus:

the midcentury thomas m. cranfill house (designed in 1952 by UT’s architecture school's first dean, harwell hamilton harris) looks out on a panoramic view of downtown austin

the closed austin java location on the edge of DT/clarksville (1206 parkway) that's been empty since 2017 is finally being inhabited soon by shug's bagels

looks like they're doing some work on the building but aren't starting from scratch
