Woah. This is next level authoritarianism: put your political opponents in prison. #Americans: rise up some more. You have done brilliantly with #NoKings but this is bad. Really really bad.
Hi, this is Meg Barnette, Brad's wife.

While escorting a defendant out of immigration court at 26 Federal Plaza, Brad was taken by masked agents and detained by ICE.

This is still developing, and our team is monitoring the situation closely.

The great thing with Signal is that not only is it more secure and operated by better people, but it's also flat out the better product in terms of usability and aesthetics. Also no weird AI bots, solid desktop version, and great videoconferencing.
Whatsapp, like Facebook, is owned by Zuckerberg's Meta.
Signal is owned by the Signal Foundation. And it's more secure. We have a choice.

Singing the song of angry men

Looking forward to Kemi Badenoch's further forays into popular culture, in which she prosecutes Oliver Twist for begging, Kevin McCallister for assault, and Santa for failure to take an obviously sick reindeer to the vet

@evopma.ecoevo.social.ap.brid.gy bridge account from ecoevo.social on Mastodon. Although I don't work in ecology and evolution any more, I remain very interested in it. Posts here, on my main Bluesky acccount @marrowp.bsky.social or on Mastodon.

2 years of #ChatGPT 🧠 👀
We asked @coeckelbergh.bsky.social from Uni Vienna a few questions about ChatGPT, AI and it's impact! 💭 ⤵
"Generative AI has had the most impact during the past two years, in particular AI that generates text has rapidly been adopted and even integrated across domains."

I sit in on many Work Capability Assessments, #Dispatches, because the level of suspiciousness, disbelief and scrutiny is such from the DWP I can’t otherwise always keep patients safe. Claimants near universally UNDERPLAY difficulties and so don’t always get the support needed.

Just a reminder if you’re on benefits:

- You are not a burden.
- You matter and give as much as anyone else.
- Political rhetoric is designed to make us feel that needing benefits is shameful—but it’s not.

We all need support at times. You are valued, respected, and wanted.💜
