The stretch of road in front of the Forest Hill T stop has long been too congested for cars and buses and too dangerous for cyclists and pedestrians. As my colleagues and the administration heard from 40 residents, we need change now.

If you look at Google Street View you can see what was in place before, AND you can see multiple bikers and a standing scooter rider using the bike mobility lanes because they are kept free of illegal parking

If you don't protect the lanes nobody can use them. Or worst case, someone is killed

Exactly! So tired of this narrative that's being used to make streets less safe with the so called "blessing" that "everyone hates flexposts over absolutely anything". Lazy justification

Uhh no. Not in the US. Millions are injured and about 40,000 people die yearly in motor vehicle crashes.
You can't compare a bike and a multi ton car. Asking for safer streets is not arrogance, sorry.
