Feel compelled to question the use of ‘curtain-raising’ here for a pre-season friendly.
Admittedly, this game is the first of Bradford’s friendlies, thus a curtain-raiser for them, but this is surely stretching the definition of a ‘curtain-raiser’ - a term reserved for opening day/community shield?
