I have planned & hosted these ceremonies at two different jobs, and I can 100% confirm that @kevinmkruse.bsky.social is 100% correct. And I would guess that probably 90% of people born in this country couldn’t pass the citizenship exam that new Americans have to pass to be naturalized.
If you've ever been to a naturalization ceremony, you know they're filled with people whose palpable love of this country is twenty times stronger than the pinched "patriotism" of any native-born MAGA chud.

Just unspeakable assholery.

It was one of the best rides to the airport I've ever had.

There are very few things in life more inspiring than the patriotism of people who want to be American Citizens. Anyone who wants to take that away based on race, identity or country of origin isn't half the American these people are 2/2

The only real job I’ve ever had other than what I’m doing now was teaching piano, which I absolutely loved.

Here’s a three-minute piano lesson that I recorded back during the pandemic. In good times or bad, these simple notes can bring you lots of creative joy at the keyboard.

It's very easy to improvise to your heart's desire if you know this simple 6-note system. It's actually addictive.

I worked for Frank Gehry. Because of him, I went to The Simpsons Halloween party, had a key to the Disney Concert Hall, met amazing artists. Frank was wonderful to me. When I left his office, he said you'll do big things, just try to stay out of politics. Sorry, Frank. Your memory is a blessing ❤️

We just accept it because it’s always been this way but ‘Ringo Starr’ is a bonkers thing to call yourself when the other guys are John, Paul, and George. It’s like having a band where everyone else uses their real name and then the drummer goes yes please call me Crackers Creamsworth

Has anyone got a list of the people who attended this event? I think it should be noted who stood there.

This is a staggering cool JWST image of one of the most terrifying star systems I have ever seen. Apep is a monster… *three* monsters, actually, and blasting out radiation and dust and junk at speeds to freeze the soul.

Read all about it!

Just finished this, again. Remarkable how the Stones leaped after "Their Satanic Majesties" flopped. And it seems to be mostly the result of Mick's serious art pretensions, Keith ingesting Graham Parsons and Ry Cooder, and the godson of Aleister Crowley possibly engineering a case of cuckoldry.

🩷 let's make some magic 🩷

last year, this community turned the most consumerist day of the year into a day defined strangers saying "I got you" to people that really need a bright spot in their life.

it's time to run it back.
