I still get laughs around the house when somebody needs a hand and I sing "HERE I COME TO SAVE THE DAAAAAAY.."

My favorite bad guys were the wolves in their zoot suits...

I started as a kid with Matchbox cars and Hot Wheels. About 20 years ago I started collecting 1:32 scale slot cars. Best thing about them is I can actually race them on my track.

These Patriots unis look like they put too much bleach in the washer.😂🤣😅

When November comes, everyone thinks about the Edmund Fitzgerald - but I find the story of the Great Lakes Storm of 1913 even more interesting, and it was certainly more devastating. Lots of good books about it, this one is a great place to start, sitting by a fire with a nice mug of Porter.

Believe me, if there was truly anything extraterrestrial about A1/Atlas and NASA told Trump about it, it would immediately be all over the news as a last-ditch effort to distract from The Epstein Files.

We recently placed John Brown's Akron, OH home on the local historic landmark list. He rented the house from 1844 – 1854. In 1846, he established a new office in Springfield, MA to help serve wool dealers in the area. His sons then returned to Akron to manage the Perkins and Brown flock of sheep

I keep thinking of Diane Keaton in LOOKING FOR MR. GOODBAR because it felt so different from most of the characters she played.

Clearly this Civil War general doesn't think much of the standards either.

If I'm going to stuff new components in a 20+ year old case, I'll go with this one.

Another early 20th century landmark may fall in Akron; the original Firestone Tire plant, built in 1912, may be subject to demolition. The city's Historic Preservation commission approved a city request to raze just the rear portion of the structure. Now the city wants it all.

Had fun rebuilding this 20+ year old Sony VAIO PC…it had a Pentium 4 in it. New MB, Ryzen 5, 8GB Radion graphics, 32GB RAM and 2TB of storage will replace the aging HP i3 I’ve been using the past few years. I don’t do gaming; just print graphics/design and some 1080p video work. Still looks modern.

Great to see that Akron's Stan Hywet Hall is creating a digital archive that includes the Tudor Revival home's original Blueprints. One of America's outstanding historic homes. #architecture #tudor hub.catalogit.app/stan-hywet-h...?

Of course there's no "magic button" AI solution to turn my historical thriller novel into a screenplay, but ChatGPT did provide a pretty workable step-by-step method to get there by helping to break down the chapters into beats and using the results to sort out the scenes and dialogue accordingly.

Nothing quite like the classic beauty of a nice wooden boat. Saw some sharp vintage examples at the Portage Lakes (PLX) Antique and Classic Boat Show yesterday. Was also nice to see the old Harbor Inn open for drinks and snacks - was wondering if this was a one-day thing or are they re-opening?

I know a lot of people my age who told me they'd like Whiter Shade of Pale played in the church as their coffin was being carried down the aisle. I'm leaning toward an urn or human composting myself, so it might not be as elegant.

Was impressed with a back-and-forth conversation I had with ChatGPT regarding our primitive view of time and how an alien might see it more as a record of spacial transformation. Not "when" something happened on a fixed timeline but the flow of change over intervals, affected by gravity & motion.

RFK will set back medical advancements...for who knows how long? Five years or more? Think about it. If you are retirement age or close to it, the lost time may cost you. Breakthroughs that might extend or save your life might come too late to make a difference.

Cleveland, 1975: I so miss the classic days of FM radio.

Rescued this girl crying behind the arborvitae in the backyard one Labor Day weekend a few years back. Clearly, she's settled in comfortably.

Seems pretty clear now that advances in military drone technology - as evidenced by Ukraine's brilliant innovations - has ended conventional warfare as we knew it. Even with its force superiority, Russia is simply unable to make meaningful advances. The ground war is essentially at a standstill.

I'm a sucker for medieval historical dramas - being knowledgeable about The Crusades, I watched all 40 (!) 2-hour-plus episodes of Mehmed: Fetihler Sultani, re: Mehmed II, the Conqueror of Constantinople. Pretty good, actually - though YouTube's auto-translate really jumbles the Turkish dialogue.
