Glorious abundance in the Cotswold hedgerow. Haws, sloes, acorns and crab apples aplenty

Nice choice of image to illustrate the article. Ampney St Peter has been discharging raw sewage for more than 1500 hours in the last six months. It is massively under capacity. Thames Water has lied to customers about plans to upgrade for years. They take us all for mugs.

I count Sage, Hardy, Greys, Orvis for trout and Bruce & Walker, Loop, Mackenzie for salmon amongst my regulars and then there's last year's Bannister bamboo that is a real joy for me-time on the tiny wild trout streams in the Cotswolds. So certainly not exclusive.

Four pictures to introduce myself. I am a #flyfisherman and guide living in the #Cotswolds in the UK, I do voluntary habitat restoration on local trout streams, I despise the #pollution of our streams for profit and I'm walking the #southwestcoastpath with my wife and our photogenic spaniel.

Flooding from Storm Bert. Thankfully only limited property flooding. The low impact on property is due in part to natural flood management measures supported by the local river champions Evenlode Catchment Partnership plus some major interventions by the EA and Network Rail to address bottlenecks.
