Lib Dem Lord Bin says TRANS RIGHTS
@markpack.bsky.social
I'm back, and have relocated from twitter...

Also, not I'm not the President of the Lib Dems, just a bin.
The spectacle that is the @yourparty.bsky.social conference makes us Lib Dems feel great that the most drama @conference.libdems.org.uk has is us having to move next business on TERFs every couple of years and Journos getting performatively outraged by our sweary Glee Club songs.

Parents, welcome to the start of several weeks of adults destroying their homes to threaten their children into behaving at the behest of a vengeful toy elf.

Don't forget to recycle the resulting mess, because Christmas is all about the kids/ Jesus, and definitely not commercialism.

Yes Christine. Bin's MP of the week for sure!
After several difficult years for the trans community, we must continue to stand up for the rights of trans people across the UK and the world and fight discrimination wherever we find it #TransAwarenessWeek

Lo, it appears there was a shadow seen, and we shall have results soon. It seems they've decided to *checks notes* do what all of the diversity AOs suggested they do in the first place, and disapply the quotas.

If only there had been some way to avoid this FAP mess in the first place?

We are practically *Flabbergasted* that such down to earth, beer drinking a man of the people went to a posh school.

We're completely unsurprised by the racism, though.

We agree. Waste disposal should be carried out through official channels. Illegal dumping is unacceptable and illiberal.
I join Calum in his calls for urgent action. The Secretary of State should step in and issue an immediate directive to the Environment Agency to clear up the illegal dump as has been done in similar previous cases. The National Crime Agency should also be brought in to investigate this vile crime.
The contaminated waste piled high in a field near Kidlington is now washing into River Cherwell. In the last 48 hours, the water level has risen 4+ feet and is lapping against the illegal dump.

We stand on the edge of an environmental disaster. We need urgent action from the Environment Agency.

At least the Lib Dems don't have any issues with Racism...
At this very moment, Keir Starmer is scrambling to find someone who will claim he said something racist at school

We have discovered, to our horror, that @joshbabarinde.bsky.social had the good sense to grab his bsky handle before going for the Presidency.

If only we'd had a crystal bin.

If only the council had some department which looked at how to cut unnecessary spending. Perhaps one focussed on local government efficiency?

Apparently there will be an event later this week, where they will knock on a barrister's door to find out if it will be 6 more weeks until Lib Dem Internal Election results?

If you're a Labour Minister and your new immigration proposals are being welcomed by Tommy Robinson and Nigel Farage, you've probably fucked up...

Or you haven't, given that Labour have a history of getting a bit awful and authoritarian when given power...

Bin is genderless, but advises doing this
Are you a 🔸️🔶️ #libdem 🔶️🔸️?

If so, whether you are cis or trans or consider yourself neither, you need to email compliance TODAY with something like the text in the image. If you need the address and don't have it i can supply in DM.

Bin's endorsement is for anyone standing for Federal Board/President who will stand up for Trans Rights and purchase certain people a spine.

It's like Celebrity Juice but actually funny.

It seems that nobody briefed the Chief Whip that Ed Davey was going to deliver his new song 'Slept Like a Baby' from the stage during his speech.

There's only one place ID cards belong, and that's the bin.*

*If you actually have an ID card, Bin is not responsible for any trouble you will get into with your employer for binning it.
Worth a read by Ben Williams, on why Liberals should continue to argue against digital ID cards in the UK. Ben is the sort of Liberal who can properly articulate both the principled and practical issues at play here - we should all take note.

You might not have noticed, but the Lib Dems have rebranded to a bolder 'Liberal Orange' to reflect their "growing strength and confidence"

@politicshome.bsky.social understands the previous golden-yellow was viewed as too soft by the leadership

We, the Liberal Democrats only official women's group, wholeheartedly stand by the amazing Woman that Cllr Chris Northwood is.

She is an inspiration to many within the party with her dedication to the party and her constituents.

She is a very deserving winner.
The Express asked us about awarding the Patsy Carlton Prize to Cllr Chris Northwood. We responded:

"This prize acknowledged an exceptional woman in Cllr Chris Northwood. The message it sends to women members and voters is that the Liberal Democrats honour and value all of our women members."

We see that yet again the press are outraged about our sweary glee club songs.

Pedantic point: 'It's Tony Blair CAN fuck off and die', not 'should' or 'must'.

As such, we're merely presenting him the option, not 'calling for his death' like the Daily Heil might want you to believe.

Very proud to have been awarded the Patsy Calton Award at today's #LDConf. Very moved by those who nominated me and that I've inspired others. I've just tried to do the best job I can.

We here at bin stan this tweet, apart from the bit where the name of the award was misspelled.

We're just glad the people covering the lib dem bsky account are less scared of supporting the excellent trans women in our party than Ed Davey is.

Nobody deserves to die to political violence. Though here is a list of those we at bin feel are worthy of outrage and grief at their deaths.

Well, at least that's one less vile old homophobe sitting in the House of Lords...

Now if only we'd hurry up and reform it to remove the rest of them.

Remember when Labour gave the Lib Dems grief for breaking a pledge?

At least Keir had the sense not to carve these ones on stone tablets...
@jackabbott.bsky.social @labouruk.bsky.social You may recall campaigning in the last GE on these issues which formed Mr Starmer's PLEDGE.
It's not on your website any more. Can't imagine why not.

Now that your party is just as duplicitous as the Tories we need an alliance of the decent at next GE
