You don’t need to add any more disincentives, Gov.

There’s already your higher crime, shakier power grid, and worse pizza.

The current homepage of @usdagov.bsky.social.

This is deranged. Almost certainly a violation of the law. And if it's not, it should be.

This is reprehensible. It's blatant Islamophobia that is an afront to NYC's entire Muslim community. This hatred has no place in our city, our politics, or our party.

The maga crowd calls us terrorists. They say we hate America. But we are out here because we love our country and we’re not afraid to fight for it. We are the real patriots. #nokings

This will damage the nation’s largest and most important economic engine but hey this administration is always happy to shoot the country in the foot in the name of political vengeance…

The current homepage of HUD.gov.

This is unhinged. This should not be legal.

The Trump admin has threatened to cut funding for magnet schools in NYC unless we abandon our policies ensuring respect for trans students.

Alarmingly the mayor has responded by echoing Trump’s talking points.

My letter urging the City to stand firm in the face of this threat:

Big news: With RFK Jr waging an all-out war on science, Northeast states are standing up the Northeast Public Health Collaborative to make our own vaccine recommendations and coordinate strategy. Includes NYS, NYC, NJ, MA, CT, RI, PA & ME.

We need much more of this.

The sky over the WTC memorial is crystal blue clear right now. Exactly like it was on that horrific day 24 years ago.

I am feeling painful parallels this morning to that horrible time. This is truly the most fearful for the future of our country I’ve felt since then.

A major economic challenge we're not talking enough about: It's getting harder and harder for young people to find entry-level jobs. We are definitely feeling this in NYC.

Nat’l unemployment rate for ages 16-24 just hit 10.5%, highest it's been since the pandemic. Rising steadily.

Tonight one of the CDC’s top public health leaders, Dr. Demetre Daskalakis, has resigned from his post.

Below is his full resignation letter.

You should read every word.

This is a truly scary moment for public health in America.

It’s much harder to build housing in Blue states than it is in Red states.

So yes people are moving away from Blue states.

One more reason that addressing the housing shortage in NY and elsewhere must be an urgent priority.

NYC is a major economic engine. We are a leading indicator for the nat’l economy.

Data just out shows job growth here in 1st half of 2025 has come to a screeching halt.

Tariffs, decline of int’l visitors, and economic uncertainty are hitting us hard. This should be a warning for the country.

Shootings in NYC so far in 2025 are at a 30-year low.

Let’s not pretend this is about public safety.

This is a mobilization of the military for domestic political purposes. Blatant authoritarianism.

It’s really happening:

135 E.57th St is a large office building that’s been mostly vacant since the pandemic.

And now it is going to be converted to housing—350 units, including affordable.

4+ million sq. ft. of conversions are now underway in Manhattan. Let’s keep this going.

The Legionnaire's Disease cluster in Central Harlem has now grown to 58 cases. 21 hospitalized.

Tragically there has been a 2nd death.

If you live or work in zip codes 10027, 10030, 10035, 10037 or 10039 and you develop flu-like symptoms, contact a health care provider immediately.

NYC is on track to receive * 2 million * fewer international visitors this year than previously projected. Significant economic blow. Direct result of Trump’s crazy policies.
