3 ~#monoku at latest Five Fleas Itchy Poetry. fivefleas.blogspot.com/2025/10/afte...

'Crackle' inspired by this video (you can hear it at ~0:04). Sinéad O'Connor channelling Veronica Lake while singing a Cole Porter tune. Her voice barely louder than the crackle. www.youtube.com/watch?v=PK9d...

Pleased to be included at Haiku Dialogue, thanks editor @dkarlbrandt.bsky.social. A wonderful selection of musical haiku. I was inspired by the lovely prompt by April Yang which led me back to Japan's marvellous 'Talking Drum' (1981).⬇️

Sad to see the demise of Failed Haiku, imho the best #senryu journal, notable for its constant encouragement to explore the form. Many thanks to Mike Rehling & @Kelly Moyer and previous editors guest and otherwise. Proud to appear in the final issue along with other contributors. failedhaiku.com

Proud to have two #micropoems in latest Five Fleas Itchy Poetry, I think if you'd plot the poems selected my two would each be near different vertices of the various vertices that the poets are aiming for, so I'm pleased. Many thanks to editor Beach. fivefleas.blogspot.com/2025/08/morn...

Another #sportku for #SenryuSunday. Somewhere between a #senryu and a #haiku - it's about a preoccupation with human activity but very much also about the natural environment and cycles. Of course I don't play golf myself.

I saw this guy on a strawberry #MyPhoto. I think it’s a Green Shield Bug nymph (Palomena prasina) 2nd instar but I’d love someone to tell me if this is right or not.
