On Friday I joined Sergeant Andy Hyde in Bensham and then Beacon Lough East for their public meeting and community patrols, speaking to residents about how we can all work to bring our community together.

Our policing presence on the streets is growing. I'm pleased Northumbria Police have the resources to get out in the community more, speaking to residents and patrolling the streets to tackle crime and antisocial behaviour and make our streets safer.
