Big roo appeared in our neighbour's garden this morning, nibbling on the plants (weeds *cough*) on the edge of our driveway. Big boy! Lovely to see :) #australianwildlife #australianmammals #suburban #adelaide

Strange, oddly comforting, dream memory last night of watching Murder She Wrote on the TV as a teen, sitting with my mother, eating Vienetta icecream, whilst dad was out playing cards at a Dutch club.

This Sunday, one of my art orgs is presenting the final of their 2024 pre-professional music competition in #adelaide - if you want to see a selection of 6 kickass young classical music performers, you can attend in person ($10) or watch online for free :) recitalsaustralia.org.au #supportlivemusic

Gorgeous echidna in our garden, looking for snacks 🐜 :) #australianwildlife #ausmonotrenes (see also a previous skeet I did with video, forgot the tags!) - at least all our dig holes are explained now (and it’s not rabbits…)

Wonderful concert yesterday in Adelaide, featuring 18 students of the #adelaide Elder Conservatorium performing Mozart and Copland’s Appalachian Spring. Great stuff! Thanks to recitalsaustralia.org.au

Good morning Bluesky peeps. Have a good happy day, as best you can. Here’s a photo of Darling Harbour in Sydney that I took last week :) (lucky, I missed the forecast rain expected this weekend!)

Even though we all complain about it… public transport really is so important and great. On the way to the big smoke :)

With legislation in Australia banning mobile phones for refugees, cancelling bills bringing wealth balance, and yet passing stupid social media bills… this Christmas public art on display in my city felt very apt - perhaps we all sit in a privileged prison of our own hubris, complete with a bow.

It’s pretty magic and such an Aussie icon - enjoy! Catching a show at the Opera House? :) Here’s my photo from last week looking towards that beauty, almost where you are!

Stormy and wet(ish) night here in #adelaide - so our possum neighbours stay closer to the ground :)

Shout out to the #slowrise dough magicians at Hearth Breads, Blackwood in #southaustralia - such great products. Recommend the Ethiopia loaf and the delicious scroll and coffee :)

So, we all need a bit of Australian #echidna in our lives, right?! Monotremes are such fascinating creatures - and #australia has many interesting animals other than kanagaroos and koalas ❤️ in #adelaide, South Australia.
