During lockdown I bought shed loads of used CDs to rip the tracks to Digital WAV files, still got them all as my plan to list them on Discogs as for sale never happened

Yeah that's the Junior Vasquez reference, and Discogs says "Selected Disco Music For House People" as the Note so it must be that 100%

It could well be that, thanks for finding it. Did come out in 1995. Tracklist is good and has the tunes I played in 1996 👍

This is a great compilation I had back then I now have on CD. Got the vinyl in 96 from a new record shop opposite Jimmy Beez. It's got Boxsaga Blackfly as used by Justin Robertson in his JDJ plus some Faze Action and Black Science Orchestra remixes I've used in mix

In 96 I was living off the Portobello Road and buying a lot of vinyl from Rough Trade West and Vinyl Solution Shop including a compilation called Disco Roots of House (or similar) that I left behind and cannot find on Discogs. It had a Black and Orange cover and sleeve notes by Junior Vasquez IIRC

That reminds me I do own more than one JDJ The Justin Robertson one from 1996 AND the Norman Jay Desert Island Mix Part 2 which has that Patti Jo track on it, think I got that around 2002/03

Mine got blocked because I bought a ticket for Club Havana re-union and the reference to Cuba flagged it under US regulations. I was spitting feathers and it took a while to get it unblocked. Maybe something similar happened to you
