Two years ago on my birthday, I responded to a food photo posted by the great @nigella.bsky.social with, "This looks perfect for my birthday today." Her account wished me a Happy Birthday, which moved me deeply because of life-things at that moment. It's a sweet gesture for which I'm ever-grateful.

The USPS posting a NINE BILLION DOLLAR LOSS!!! sounds terrible. Certainly worse than if you said "USPS costs thirty dollars per person per year" even though that means the same thing and more accurately describes a government service

Trump already created blanket pardons for all Jan. 6 rioters & for all pro-Trump activities connected to the 2020 Election. "Not-MTG" here qualifies for 2 pardons. (If you get your card stamped for 5 pardons from Trump before the end of the year, you get a Cabinet-level position & a free coffee.)

Trump's "Order of Lenin"-style awards keep piling up. He needs pins like Brezhnev's rather than trophies, or else he's going to need a bigger room to display a his "well-earned," "lifetime achievement" awards. Maybe this is why his new building is a "ballroom": FIFA gave him a soccer award today.

This really is grotesque: they went through years-long citizenship processes and are now being denied simply because if the country they are from. It’s formalized bigotry.
