There is non-fiction book that came out a few years ago called; "A Woman Of No Importance". Kind of along the same lines as this novel that you are reading. A good read if you're enjoying Book and Dagger.

We are headed for a grassroots revolution to reform Healthcare in this country, on a scale that congress will not be able to ignore. The Healthcare, processed food and fossil fuel lobbyists in DC have been killing people for decades. Lobbying and dark money from these groups has to end. RFK Jr ? 😡

Quite honestly, I would not rely on fracking or oil extraction techniques to prevent contamination of ground water sources, let alone contaminating soil and vegetation.

He's inferring that other factors could be the inevitable end of civilization, not exclusive to climate change (nuclear war, an unstoppable super virus, biological warfare). Pretty obvious when one reads his comments.

I was never aware of the duality of ownership right's, above ground versus below ground. Land owners should not have to battle energy companies to practice common sense environmental guidelines. The fossil fuel lobby in DC has sought deregulation laws for decades, at the expense of all life.

How about focusing on pending deregulation measures that would increase air and water pollution, thereby increasing birth defects and cancer rates ? Food additive legislation (dyes) and using cane sugar instead of corn fructose doesn't matter if air and water pollution is not addressed.

It's called "Selective 1st Amendment Rights"; the Right's new strategy to suppress the Left's 1st Amendment Rights. The Right now has "Unlimited 1st Amendment rights" If Netflix was smart it would immediately sign Kimmel to do a variety show, with Colbert to follow on another streaming platform.
