Of all the times to sound like Charlie Brown's teacher. Unfollowing. I don't need this useless noise in my feed.
Trump, Musk, and DOGE would use the power of a shutdown to shift into overdrive.

And the courts, one of our best places to fight these autocrats, could quickly run out of money.

We can’t let this happen.

If Dems were unwilling to fight over cabinet nominees and unwilling to fight over the budget/shutdown, it’s safe to assume they’re not going to fight over anything.

The Trump regime will arrest you in the middle of the night because you spoke your mind.

And federal agents in plain clothes who refuse to identify themselves will be the ones to do it.

If you think I'm being hyperbolic, watch this clip.
NEW: Family of Mahmoud Khalil just released footage of his arrest

“Stop resisting”
“He’s not resisting”

Agents seen continuing to ignore Mahmoud’s wife as she asks basic questions

1. Short everything
2. Announce tariffs
3. Close out short positions
4. Buy the dip
5. Call off the tariffs
6. Sell the spike
7. Repeat

Is there any reason to believe Trump's entire inner circle isn't doing this?
BREAKING: US Commerce Secretary Lutnick has said: Trump may roll back Canada and Mexico tariffs tomorrow

We just walked out of the state of the Union. My shirt showed Trump an important message: NO KINGS LIVE HERE.

In the spirit of student protestors from the Civil Rights Movement, I’m proud to have protested and walked out with many of my colleagues. This is NOT a normal time.

They are playing with people’s lives. The National Weather Service is crucial to the safety of those in disaster prone areas. And with climate change rapidly changing and eroding the landscape of others, NOAA will be more necessary than ever. To do this just after TN and WV were flooded. Despicable
It was less than a month ago when offices of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration were seized.

Elon Musk and his DOGE gang stormed past security and demanded access to NOAA’s IT systems. They forcibly gained access to massive amounts of data — including highly sensitive,…

Tomorrow, February 28, let’s disrupt the status quo by spending ONLY at businesses that uplift our communities.

That means:
🚫 No gas from corporate giants
🚫 No fast food chains
🚫 No big-box retailers (Target, Walmart, Amazon, etc.)

The first step of a walk, the first penny towards debt, the first sweep with a broom, the first word spoken can all be a turning point.
Yes; and also for me it’s seems like a way for people who haven’t done much activism in the past to get familiar with it and get more comfortable with larger scale boycotts that will be necessary

I feel as if we're capable of acknowledging that a one-day boycott is mostly symbolic without becoming contemptuous and dismissive of people finding a little meaning and comfort in such a symbol. The scorn seems petty.

We all look forward to reading your thoughts
I keep saying Dems need to do a daily briefing on Capitol Hill and fill the void, fact check the WH. Hire Pete Buttigeig and give him a staff to do this.

Notable that the biggest act of civil disobedience so far came not from Congress but an eighth-grader

The civil disobedience by dozens of middle-schoolers — and some adults — was aimed at the Trump administration’s rollback of DEI initiatives.
