and when forming a corp/LLC, pretty sure in 'purpose' everyone just says whatever's legal. perhaps that's too broad? all the big ones just keep doing more of whatever, related or not, just extending their tentacles into everything. try to rebrand selves as some other type of 'x company' all the time

corporation was conceived as awesome privilege, allowing limited liability to expand business in exchange for higher taxes to help mitigate possible negative effects and externalities. all this, probably since about the 80's has been forgotten. worse, the opposite, especially since citizens united

obviously non-police shouldn't be allowed to have 'police' marked on their uniform, if they're wearing one. they need to wear uniforms, and carry ID, not cover their faces, and identify themselves and their purpose...etc etc on all the basic stuff that didn't need to be said pretty short time ago

how fascinating would be to add up all the lost hours to social media daily, or yearly, in different places, and extrapolate how much has been lost compared to if those hours were used for productive pursuits. even more, comparing the relative changes between countries, implications for development

severely believe curtis should be part of something. he's gotten stabbed too many times for this city to never find a place for him. but he's a good dude, has his own principles. and he makes an amazing point for the cats and other animals, with humility. not my mayor, but respect.

vast majority of the time, thinking of places by county makes more sense because metros tend to be so fragmented in terms of their constituent municipalities. think LA county, or Miami-Dade. San Francisco and Philadelphia are counties in their own right, though.
