The economy has overtaken climate change and refugees as German voters’ top concern. Parties on the right seem to be benefitting in the polls.

The UN plastic treaty talks have failed. But the world needs to clean up its act.

It produces around 500m tonnes of plastic a year causing more emissions than aviation. 1/3 is used for packaging. I talked to startups making sustainable versions for @economist.com
