I spent a significant part of my career in neonatal care and an inherent ‘the way we work here’ is a patient safety culture, otherwise referred to as a “crew” approach. For me the fact the team are saying this should have put up a red flag somewhere in the organisation

I'm looking forward to beginning my term on council with the Royal College of Nurses in Jan.

The RCN needs to be formidable in its pursuit of respect for nurses or we will continue to lose them.

There is no health system, and no healthcare, without nurses.
