Wanna know something ironic? My current b0ss called me in 2 ask me 2 take on HELLA responsibilities managing a section, then tells me to my face (without apologizing) they've never had anyone under them not get paid bc its "a priority" (except me, this the 2nd time I've missed paychecks under them)

The world doing nothing about climate change is genocide to Pasifika nations, especially low lying ones. Their homelands are literally going to be underwater. If there’s no place, there’s no culture, no people. Our islands are what make us who we are. But Pasifika is invisible to the world

Yesterday I realized that I've been pushing against what my role in work has been: a manager. I've been pushing against it bc I don't want to be.
I want to be a field person, I want to be a marine ecology person, I damn sure don't want to be a program manager but I am 💀 not in title but in duties

Went to a funeral for my bf's family today. 3rd one in his family in the last yr. The bishop talked about death, and remembering that death comes to all of us, and some/many of us avoid that thought.
