I read an early ARC of this book and now it's out next week and YES, you need this book by K.L. Schroeder. It's a dark and quietly unsettling scifi story & it might also be one of the few (only?) times I’ve seen my Swedish hometown Skellefteå mentioned in an sf book! psychopomp.com/product/no-o...

I just found out from Greyhaven Exotic Bird Sanctuary that Holly the macaw passed away today in the company of her beloved mate, Buddy. She was a feisty, lovely bird & had endured & survived so much in her life. At Greyhaven, she was loved and cared for, but no one cared for her as much as Buddy.

Help support one of my favourite publications: THE DEADLANDS! They have one of the coolest fundraisers around: you get a fancy coin for the Ferryman. 👀 AND you can get that coin plus signed books by Alix E. Harrow, Suzan Palumbo, and many other writers including ME! 💗 psychopomp.com/the-deadland...

SPRING IN THE CITY is out on December 2! I have a story in this anthology. It's set in Vancouver, at Third Beach, and it's about things lost and found in the waters there.

The latest guest post at Ruadán's Thoughts From the Writer's Desk is a terrific essay by Delia Lloyd. "Re-reading the book I never published" is an honest and thoughtful look at what you can learn from an imperfect past:
