Really enjoyed being a part of an Early-Career Researcher Panel at #MaynoothCrimCon PhD Training Day, organised by Dr Ian Marder. I reflected on lessons I have gained from researching & working w/ women & men in prison which will inform my upcoming fieldwork in Ireland's Female Prisons.

Delighted to see our new article 'Foreign national prisoners and language barriers in Irish Prisons' has been published!
Drawing on 82 interviews conducted with Foreign National Men and Women, we discuss the language difficulties that permeate almost all aspects of FNPs experience in Irish prisons

Grateful to participate in & coordinate the Story Exchange with MU students & men in Wheatfield Prison.
Developing empathy through storytelling was a powerful experience where we could share stories, discover our many similarities, learn from eachother & break barriers formed by prison walls.

Delighted to share the publication of my first lead-author article!
We discuss the needs & experiences of foreign national women in Irish prisons, as their narrative is often missing from research in this area. We also highlight adaptation strategies undertaken in an attempt to navigate prison life
