I popped in to Chester last night for my book club.. We all hated it 😂
But it was lovely to see the wolf moon glowing in the sky.
Someone had left a light on in St Peter's, illuminating some of the stained glass windows.

Wandered around Haughmond Abbey this afternoon. It was wonderful to be out out again.

Strange day today. Still recovering, slowly.
Aches and pains. Desperately want to exercise, but every time I try my body hates me. So more resting and reading.
2nd anniversary of my Dad passing, so a general feeling of melancholy. We will see what tomorrow brings.

I have more than enough books to keep me busy this month. But! I'm more than slightly addicted to world of books. I'm doing a good deed by rehoming abandoned books. They will be read eventually and now have a cosy place on my already full bookcases.

Yes I'm upset about but I got to meet my surgeon, who is very nice.
Fingers crossed for either Tuesday or Wednesday next week.
And I get to sleep in my own bed without any noise or women violently vomiting in the bed next to mine.

So 6th trip to A&E.
Consultant is keeping me in until I can have my pesky gallbladder out.
It's only taken 11 months to get here.

I'm not a big fan of Christmas. I like decorations, trees etc. But not the forced consumerism. When you work in retail Christmas just feels like another day off.

A little jaunt to Liverpool today. I had to pop into The Vines. It's such a stunning example of art deco architecture. You really should take a look.
