Honestly I’m ok with being on the “losing” side right now because it’s still the right side to be on
Just got this email from my alderperson. What in the f—-? Also heads up to people near North Center in Chicago.

I love when my cat clasps my hand as if she has just seen my future and it’s terrifying.

Chicago today. Timeline cleanse.

I’m hearing Chicagoans are going to be insufferable now and that’s just not true we were always insufferable and yes we are still better than New York and LA as it has always been.

I honestly don’t think America has suddenly gotten worse. I think a critical mass of people have just come to the slow realization that this is actually The Bad Place.

I can’t think of any better way to celebrate 4/20 then to go to a local indie movie theater and watch a David Lynch movie. Which is exactly what I am doing.

My cat is top shelf.

I feel like every day on BlueSky I’m shaking a Magic 8 Ball of constitutional crises and the answers are becoming more alarming.

A lot of people like to dismiss racism as insubstantial to material realities but we’re watching a nation burn trillions of dollars in wealth to entrench a racial system of domination.

This was literally a line in A Fish Called Wanda. Also made by a character who was a total idiot.
Leavitt: "It's only because of the United States of America that the French aren't speaking German right now."

Honestly how stupid do you think we are?

Don’t answer. We already know.
I will continue to fight against Donald Trump’s reckless, and in many instances, illegal attempts to gut the federal government. He is testing our system of checks and balances like they haven’t been tested in my lifetime. The fight continues.

Once these Let Billions Suffer voters see how gruesome letting billions suffer gets they will surely come crawling back to the Let Millions Suffer party and we’ll finally be able to win elections without catering to those troublesome Nobody Should Suffer radicals

Honestly people need to read (or re-read) The Grapes of Wrath. None of this is new — just re-packaged. Our entire country has always been based on exploitation.

I wrote about the worst people in the world, charting the depths of their depravity and vastness of their incompetence, and offered some thoughts about the opportunity presented by their failure to acknowledge reality and their refusal to access any form of human virtue.

The Worst and the Dimmest
It's not a coincidence that we're being led by the least qualified monsters available; it's a deliberate strategy. Facing the Worst - a series about directional alignment.

Honestly I’m at the point where I think it’s not just Republicans that need to be jettisoned into the sun, it’s Democrats as well - with a few notable exceptions. What an utter failure of leadership. What cowards they are.

How Chicago’s Immigrant Rights Groups Plan to Hold the Line on Sanctuary Policies
As Trump threatens Chicago, organizers are bracing for raids but also hopeful that a vast suite of local protections and community trainings can limit the scale of deportations.

With everything else going on, I still can’t stop laughing at how tech built a $500 billion dollar hammer and told us they needed more money and more infrastructure to make it work properly and then China came along and used an old book to pound the nail in place and walked away.

This is how it’s done. Chicago has a lot of problems but we are probably the most prepared out of any major city for what’s to come.

Every family and child deserves to feel safe and secure in the place they call home.

Every resident of Illinois should know their rights.

I intend to protect those rights and ensure our state laws are followed.

As a woman who has worked in the tech industry for 20+ years, DEI was never implemented anywhere seriously. It was always a smoke screen. Tech is as viciously misogynistic as it was in the late 90s.
