Just putting this here for posterity. I’ve never had a book that was called “big” or “buzzy” before. And this one took me 37 years to turn into something readable.

In case you’d like to try a memory drug that looks like maple syrup and smells like Pine-Sol … I have one of those ebook sales going.

It’s a while since I’ve been around here, but anyway, the book for adults I spent 37 years writing has been out 2 months. THE MIDNIGHT CLUB is a Gen X second-chances memory drug thing & some readers said nice things about it.

Which is tenser: the border-crossing scene, the cliff-jumping scene, or the scene in Panera? 😏 ONLY SHE CAME BACK is out 11/14. YA thriller about true crime obsession & very bad ideas.

One month. And then I shut up about this book (maybe!).

TFW you find yourself on the edge of a cliff with a suspected murderer, but it’s ok because you wanna be a true crime influencer so so bad. (Places in Only She Came Back: Red Rocks Park, #btv, VT)

“Tackles consent, grooming, emotional abuse, mental illness, survivalist culture, eating disorders, and social media… A twisty thriller exploring important social topics.” — Kirkus Reviews on ONLY SHE CAME BACK

I rented the movie about two women climbing a rickety 2,000-foot radio tower in the desert and I am not ashamed. There were no CG sharks, only some vultures.

Since we’re having blurbing discourse and all that… I’m over the moon about this blurb for ONLY SHE CAME BACK from Kathleen Glasgow, author of Girl in Pieces and coauthor of The Agathas!

My retro YA book review this week, It’s Not What You Expect by Norma Klein, reminds us that digital clocks made noise in 1973. Also, 14-year-olds knew who Camus was and could open their own restaurant named after a Proust novel.
